Mayan day begins at SUNSET??

topic posted Fri, October 19, 2007 - 4:23 AM by  Nick
I read somewhere that if you are born 2 hours before midnight then your birthday is considered to be the day after your actual birthday because the mayan day begins at sunset(or so I heard). So, If I was born on January 13 1985 at 10:31PM, does that make me a white resonant dog(kin 150) or blue galactic monkey kin (151)?? I know I'm a GAP either way, but I defintely relate to the blue galactic monkey characteristics moreso than the dog. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What an awesome question. I know that the mayans used the night sky for watching celestial events from the mountains surrounding their cities. Considering I did a couple of searches I couldn't find much on it though I would hypothesize that the day began more near dawn and would end the next morning. As a possible remedy you might want to reference the i ching's calender considering how similair the 2 systems are...all erronius calender befudlings from outside sources that only seem to convalute the source. ....why couldn't our elders have been more wiser and gotten along?

Well I am born on 12:21 am, and I use to go back and forth between Yellow Electric Sun and Red Self-existing Dragon, Kin 120 and 121. I've always felt that midnight is a made up arbitrary mechanical designation, so I believe that the day begins at sunrise. Needless to say, I just go with both.
